johnsons kitchen started originally as a food blog. Really, it still is.
However I wanted an open license to write about anything. How frustrating it is to shop in a two supermarket country, my love of Scandinavian cruising, the joys of being a new dad.
There are tips of where to shop, some of my favourite recipes and my thoughts on restaurants and cafes I have visited.
I’m most passionate about is where food comes from. By knowing this, we can ensure we’re getting the freshest, cleanest and highest quality food we can. Or know that we might be just paying for crap.
I live in South East Melbourne, and buy my produce from my local suppliers. My green grocer, my butcher. They know me, they go the extra mile to help me out. Getting extra curry leaves in when my tree isn’t producing, skinning my marylands cause I’m just… well. Too lazy.
